Premier Software raises over £1,000 cycling for Prostate Cancer UK

Throughout May, Premier Software’s team of cyclists aimed to ride 300 miles to increase cancer awareness, and raise important funds as part of Prostate Cancer UK’s Cycle the Month challenge.

Mark Johnson, CEO and managing director of Premier Software, took part in the event alongside colleagues Marcello Memoli, Edgar Duncan and Joel Nolan.

Following a month of endurance, the group smashed their goal by cycling more than 700 miles and raising over £1,000 (US$1,211, €1,165) for the charity.

Premier Software’s participation in Cycle the Month comes as part of its wider pledge to raise cancer awareness. This follows their partnership with Made for Life Organics in 2022, which aims to make spas more inclusive by training staff in Cancer Touch Therapy.

“It was fantastic to be part of a team, achieving something worthwhile for a great cause,” said Johnson.

“The team spirit, and coming together to achieve the same goal was a great motivation for us all.”

“Taking part in Cycle the Month was certainly challenging but also thoroughly enjoyable,” adds Memoli. “I’m proud of myself and everyone in our team for getting involved. I hope the moneyraised contributes in a positive way to helping those affected by prostate cancer.”

Prostate Cancer UK, a leading men’s health charity, hosts events throughout the year to raise money for what is now the UK’s most commonly diagnosed cancer in males. The money collected will fund vital research into life-saving treatments for prostate cancer, and provide practical support to those affected and their families.
